Joining the Do Follow Movement

Posted by Moses on Jul 3, 2007

Three Sticks has joined the Do Follow Movement. The movement is designed to allow bloggers to help each other by removing the ‘do not follow’ tag from comments. The ‘do not follow’ tag was designed to help reduce comment spam from spammers seeking to increase their blogs ranking by inundating sites with comments containing their links.

Although not the originator of the D-List, Courtney Tuttle has helped to popularize this movement by promoting the D-List a list of blogs and websites that remove the ‘do not follow’ tag for comments.

To join the D-List, you need to turn off the ‘do not follow’ tag for comments. If you are using wordpress, the easiest way is to install Semilogic’s DoFollow plugin.

This DoFollow Blog list is courtesy of Courtney Tuttle and was created originally by Coleen as the D-List

Update: July 5, 2007

It appears that Court hasn’t updated the D-List in awhile and that Nicusor Cheles is keeping an up to date list see the comment below.

Annoucing the Launch of The SafetyNet Personal Security Blog

Posted by Moses on May 2, 2007

Today, I’m launching the SafetyNet Personal Security Blog. The blog is a community driven blog to help educate consumers and everyday computer users about then online security threats, tip and tricks and anything else. It’s considered a community driven blog because readers can sign-up and contribute to the blog. The blog is sponsored by my company Miles Ahead LLC as part of the promotional activities for our product the SafetyNet Wireless Firewall. The blog contains security and privacy articles, resources and the latest news. This is one of the steps in my on-going project to Launch SafetyNet Wireless Firewall version 1.5.

For those of you who don’t know, SafetyNet Wireless Firewall is a service that shields your wireless connection from attacks. It works from any location at anytime. It is designed to protect wireless network users who use public networks at schools, hotels, airports and coffee shops. It is also intended for home users who do not know how to properly configure their home wireless network and want to ensure that their private information is protected while they are online. The best part is that SafetyNet is free to try for 30 Days. I would love to get some more feedback from users. Please give it a try and let me know what you think.
